Is your home a haven for your children? You might have taken some steps to “child-proof” your home when you first became a parent, but there are many dangers to be aware of in a home. Take your stairs for example. It is very easy for a child to get hurt falling down stairs, and unless you have some way of preventing access for them, it is amazing how quickly a child can get there when not watched. Even access from the lower level should be blocked because even though your child might not yet be great at walking, it could climb and crawl its way high enough up the stair to get seriously hurt when falling.

You should also be aware of the danger wall receptacles pose. Installing tamper-resistant wall receptacles will stop your children from sticking objects into the receptacles.

Chemicals should be kept locked up or out of reach from children as well.
