Out of all the different types of siding materials, you probably can’t find a better value for your money than vinyl. Vinyl gives you good durability at a low price while not being too complicated to install. This is why vinyl is one of the most common materials you will find used for siding.
Vinyl siding is not going to be damaged by things that damage many other materials. Unlike wood, vinyl doesn’t rot, burn, mold or get infested with wood-boring insects. Unlike metal siding, it won’t rust or dent. It is, however, possible that the vinyl gets brittle in the cold and cracks from impact. This means that you should exercise extra care in the cold winter months. Extreme heat can also damage it so that it deforms or even melts. To avoid this, you should never have a grill or anything else that gives off a lot of heat close to your vinyl siding.
