During this time, many have found that they have more time to work around the home, such as gardening. Caring for your lawn and surrounding area can be very calming, especially when you have a lot of stress in your life, but if you are new to yard work, then you there is one thing that you need to be on the lookout for. That is a group of plants of the Toxicodendron genus. You probably know them better as Poison Ivy, Poison Oak, and Poison Sumak. If you were to get exposed to any of these plants, it will not be a very pleasant experience.

What happens is, when you brush up against or touch these plants, the oil from them will end up on your skin or your clothing. This oil is difficult to get off, and it spreads easily. When you get it on your skin, it can cause blisters that are very itchy. It is good to make a habit of wearing a shirt long sleeves, pants, and gloves if you are clearing up undergrowth and you aren’t certain that there aren’t any of these plants around.
